Hello I have working off and on on my father's side for about eight years now and still have a long way to go . Dad's name is Jesse Ora Hodge B dec25,1917 in Georgetown Ky,Dad had a half brother and one sister named Anna and she was born abt 1911. she was adopted by a widow with the last name of King shortly after grandmother had died. Anna married a man by the name I believe of Cecil Collins and had several children whom all still live Georgetown. Dad's Mother sometime in 1921 and supposed to be buried ona hillside over looking Georgetown. Dad and his dad moved to a farm just outside Cincinnati and lived there for several years before moving into Cincinnati. Grandfather remarried and they had a son named Paul. Paul was killed abt 1933 when he 10yo. Paul was ran over by a car while him and my dad were playing in the street. Dad Married Myrtle M Winters on July 5,1941 in Cincinnati and had twelve children, the oldest was a blue baby and did not survive. My mother died in July 1972 and Dad in June of 1988. Grand father died I think in 1949 and is buried somewhere in Cincinnati. My oldest sister died in March of 1997 and there are ten of us left. Granfathers name was Frank his father was Thomas. Up to my father Jesse there were three genreations born in and around Liberty Kentucky. At one time I had found a direct connection to shadrock Hodge but with me going through a divorce I have lost all my information and have to started over. Other name on my father's side is YOUNG. |

I am searching for proof of parents of John Hodges born about 1765 (Rev War) d. in Wilkinson Co. Mississippi. He married Ann STANDARD, presumed dau of Capt. William Standard of Darlington Co. South Carolina. His children moved over to St. Helena Parish, Louisiana. John was in the Old Cheraw Dist. SC and his brother was William Hodges of Bladen Co. NC - John recruited their sons during the Rev War according to their pension papers filed which said: John Hodges Bible Records attached, but I have not found these bible records. Any help appreciated. |

Her line is as follows: Lois Emylin Withers (Foster) her mother was Phoebe Rea Hodges (Withers) Phoebe's parents were Norman George (Nellie Emylin Tanner) Hodges (of Bellevue, Eaton Co., MI) and Norman's parents were: William George Hodges (4/24/1873) in Bellevue, Eaton Co., MI m: Sarah R. Bowen (b: 4/31/1847) Shelby, NY. I am trying to locate more information on this family who came to Michigan early from New York, as Sarah R. Bowen's parentage is: George William BOWEN b: 1796 VT (married Gertrude Davis) and George's parents are: ASA BOWEN (Rebecca Ellithorpe) b: 1754 Woodstock, CT. I feel my g-g-g-grandfather is also a son of ASA's. Hoping to find a HODGES family in Michigan researching this family in Eaton Co., Michigan.
