| Comments: | Raistlin did become a god and brought about the destruction of Krynn, however Caramon and Tasslehoff moved through time and revealed to Raistlin that if he achieved his ambition he still wouldn't be satisfied and this would consume him and the world he had gained.
His eternal punishment for challanging Takihisis was similar to Zeus's for Prometheus she chained him to a rock and proceeded to consumed his liver every morning then leaving him to regenerate, not allowing sleep, this cycle would continue for eternity. I think in one book he had a reprieve by a young apprentice (accidently). Raistlin killed millions of people, he was bad, do you like Vlad the Impaler and Hitler also? If you want real fantasy read Daved Gemmell. Warning! it's addictive stuff! |

I've read most DragonLance books from the "SoulForge" to "Dragons of a Fallen Sun" wich I just started.(I've also read the ones obout Kitiara and Sturm and the birth of the twins in "DarkHeart" and "Darkness & Light", which were so unbelievibly boring without Raistlin.) My favorite trilogy, however, is the dragon trilogy.(Dragons of Autom Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night, and Dragons of Spring Dawning) Raislin is the greatest character and I wish to somday meet him or someone like him. though out all of them he is the smartest the coolest and the stongest in the minde. I am probaly not old enoph to read these books. I am only 12. But DragonLance is the only book I wil read. The only reason I will read DragonLance is because Raitlin is there. I wish I could meet him in real life or something. That would be cool. One of these people should put up a DragonLance festival in real life and dedicated it to Raistlin. I would garenty you I would go no mater what. a million times by a million other people, but it's true. My brother says he's evil. I do NOT think so. It's my brother who's evil for saying that about the most gloriously intricate character in any book. Maybe he's done some bad things, but he always had a reason for it. I absolutely LOVE the ending of "Test of the Twins." It's so beautifully sad. I almost cried the first time I read it. Thank goodness for Margaret Weis and "The Soulforge."
