I was there the same time as Mel (Katy's sister) and her rag wrapped hair will stick in my mind for some unknown reason, that and sharing a smoke and a laugh at a party whilst talking drunken cack...ahh halcyon daze.

i don't know what madraykin is but madre kin is any biological relative on my mothers side and also anyone whose active judgement is ruled by the right brain. the word for the condition and fate of those whose active judgement is ruled by the left brain is taxidermy, also a word for the proess of dollmaking.

it is attachment in and of itself that binds the dolls, makayla articulated, in the world of people they are the ones you see whose surviving movement is rigid and although they may walk or run they cannot escape the present moment any more than anyone or anything else in the universe. the difference between us and them is that their attachment binds them into a cycle that we call samsara they can be released from instantly by simply letting go but the samsaras are old and attractive to the mind that is idle, they are convenient cookie cutter dreams accomodating lazy souls content with them and that is their right but we are more like the leaves.

Comments:Great Site! Glad someone else remembers DC!

I saw the mania that was Daisy Chainsaw back in NY... in 1991? Whew! That was fun :) I can add a couple of appearances of theirs to your discography:

Volume Three (a Uk CD/Magazine circa 1991-3) includes a live version of "I Feel Insane" from Bristol University.

Independent 20 (Beechwood Music CD 1992) includes "Love Your Money"

and I'm pretty sure they were on a CMJ Certain Damage compilation at the same time (1991/2)but I can't find that one...

Comments:Recently was listing to a band from Montreal, "Duchess Says" and their 2nd track suddenly stuck me as sounding familiar. It finally occurred to me that it was because it sounded like Daisy Chainsaw. Now I am on the hunt to buy, Eleventeen again, as I only had it on tape years ago and it died.

Thanks for the site and any insight as to getting CDs.

Comments:She stood before me, a creature so ethereal it is beyond my understanding. She sang as a child into my eyes. She grasped my hand, with such a tight grip as she convulsed. She stopped and looked so deep into my eyes. I could have drowned into them. She scraped her nails along my flesh, to mark me, to make it real. For without marks it is all imagination, all of our creation. I bare the bruises from where I stood before her.

I am thankful for the entire perspective I now possess, I am very much in her debt. I understand now

I have decided to try and rally all yankee QA fans. If we ever want to see Queen Adreena live here in the USA, we have to make our voices heard. One could try harrassing Rough Trade records who were the last to release the band's material. Also I imagine we could get noticed on a fan site such as this. And as long as I'm wasting my time, Amy C. if you read this and you don't still hate me, you should e-mail me some time.

Comments:Wow... I have enjoyed Daisy Chainsaw since I first heard them in the '90s and never knew their story. Very nice. I still have one of their tapes, but if you are wondering where to get a cut, I see them in the used section of Amazon sometimes. Are you familiar with the shriek in the song, "Lovely Ugly Brutal World"? That is the most intense scream I have ever heard come out of a human's throat. Ever. Horror movie victims, angry teenagers, scorned women: not even close. Also... maybe you have already pegged the quote from "Everything is Weird", but I just found it in an Edward Gorey book. That drove me nuts for a long time.
