My friend, it's been a while since we actually talked. But given your extensive travelling I can see that you are very busy.
Few people can actualy say that they have reached their dream in life (and to make a living out of it). I can remember you and I talking about Lisa encouraging you to pick up painting. You definitely have come a long way. No matter how little we have met and maybe have in common anymore I still consider you my oldest, good friend.

Hello Edward,
I happened to be visiting Niagara-on-the-Lakes, and taking pictures in Niagara Falls area, as I'm a starving artist. It was a very cold day, but I'm glad, I stopped in to your gallery, very sophisticated compositions of wildlife. Realism art is very popular with many people including myself and for an artist your dipictions are wonderful pieces, keep up the good work. I believe, I was driving away from your gallery when you were showing up for your show in South Carolina. Good luck and hope to me you one day.

AMAZING WORK!
I live in new york and I went up to Niagara on the Lake with my boyfriend for the day and I came upon the gallery. I'm majoring in art and love to see everyone else's work.
When I stepped inside, my eyes teared up right away, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I would have to say that Edward's artwork has been a huge inspiration for me, and even the people I have shown his work to too.
Keep it up, your talent is unlike any other.

Hi,
I visited the gallery at Niagara on the lake with my wife whilst on holiday from England.

There was an instant attraction to your work due to the attention to detail on each piece. I purchase a paper print of Kickin back - Sea Otter, which I have since had professioanlly framed and now it has pride of place in my home. I will be purchasing further prints in the future! My aim is to purchase an orginial but this may be some time off.

Dear Lisa and Edward,
...remember - of Bandhavgarh ? evening - and on the jungle-road ? I will start to send you interesting files about the situation of TIGER's from the perspective of Researchers;
...I do hope that you journey had an good end - Benny and myself we recorded 75 hours about the subject of "Human's and Tiger's" - all is now at the post-production in the studio; will see when the film is coming out - end of the year; at a moment we have a discussion with people from the discovery-channel.
...on India-Lion's - there is havy poching at a moment; we will see how things are going on; there are always more and more "bombings" in India - the security-level of the country is really going down. Interesting is, that in Uttar Pradesh the most populated country in India a women
won the parlament-voting - she is from the loest cast !!!
...it means also - a steady revolution is still going on;
think about :
500 Million people are poor in India
400 Million of them cannot read and write
300 Million are very poor
those people are opposite of the success-story of those who are moving the country forward into a modern society;
At the end of this note - the pictures are coming soon !
take care of you - and it will be funny to meet you again
on any good place on earth - or in Canada - or in Hamburg
where we are living.

With best regards Dieter

http://www.tigersinthewild.com Hi Edward and Lisa
It was nice to meet up with you both at Bandhavgarh and I hope that you will have enjoyed the remainder of your time in India. I had a great sighting on my last day-I witness the Chakradhara sub adult tiger making a kill of a small Chittal deer only to loose it to her bigger brother. However he also subsequently lost out as shortly afterwards B2 their Father appeared and they both fought for about 30 seconds and then the youngster gave way to his Father who stole the prey and then devoured the lot! Do drop me a line and let me know how you got on and perhaps maybe we will meet up again. Best wishes
Mike

I can't say in words how much I love this piece and admire all your work. I also think it is so wonderful that your wife, Lisa, is the person who made you realize your God-given gift for creating such beautiful art and bringing these amazing creatures to life.

We really enjoyed hearing your stories and I will be in touch to get much-needed advice from you and Lisa about my planning a trip to Africa. I realize more than ever now, that I have been putting this off too long - a trip to Africa has been a dream of mine for a long time now.

Thank-you so much for taking the time to talk with us and to sign the back of the "The Heir of the Throne" for me. It really means a lot.

Hope to talk to you and Lisa soon. And special thanks as well to Shelley - she was most interesting to chat with and it is great to see her genuine admiration for your work.

Hi Ed, I recently visited Ontario and my friend and I dropped into your gallery. I was stunned at the beautiful artworks, especially the Mountain Gorillas and Iggy. I will faxing an order form for Iggy later today. However, you had two oils of your latest male and female Mountain Gorillas and told me that you would be posting limited edition prints to your web site shortly. I would be very interested in getting your #1 issues for both. Can you please confirm the availability and price? Many thanks, Sharon

I have several copies of Spera's work. Several weeks ago I ordered a copy of "Jewel of the Amazon: Toco Toucan" thru the Green River Frame Shop in Tryon, NC. I was told that the copy would be mailed to me. I was hoping to have it for Christmas. Don't know if that will happen, but wanted to check on the status of my order. Please reach me at E-mail address above.

I visited the new gallery in Niagara on the Lake on Saturday December 10th, and was totally impressed with the art and the people. Shelley was kind enough to spend a great deal of time with me providing background info on many of the exhibits. As a resident of Aurora,I was especially happy to hear of the event planned for April at the Wellington gallery.I am really looking forward to it..

Hello,
This is Melissa Pearce just adding a few comments about your work. I am so blown away by your work, that you have become an inspiration. I was absolutly floored when I was told you work in acrylic. I myself work in acrylic while studying painting at Brock University. I was always told that with acrylic you cant achieve the high realism. I got a brochure from your wife (i think) from Niagra on the Lake and proudly showed it to my classmates and encouraged them to visit. Again.... you are an incredible artist and adventurist!!!

Ironically, we live just down from you on Main St. and have seen your van numerous times in Port Dalhousie and the city. Your work is fabulous and we feel it is even more unique that you are our neighbor too.

Hi Ed & Lisa
I had to pass this story along,... I was in an office this week (I'm a drug rep) and I was admiring the physician's artwork. When i mentioned that I was interested, he brought me into his office to show me his pride and joy, and low and behold it was a 'SPERA' piece.
I happened to see that you will be NOTL next week, and I quickly contacted this physician (Dr. Peter Gleeson- Fort Erie) to let him know.
Small world.
Hope to see you over the summer. I'll keep in touch and coincide a date with my mum & dad.
Best wishes for a great show (we will be in Florida- i hope to catch your next local one)

Also would you please send me a quick e-mail letting me know the price of the Lioness "the Aunt" - that's what Lisa called her - with the same framing & black suede matting as the "Lion Cub" you are working on for me. I would greatly appreciate this.
