| Comments: | Awesome Performance!! What a thrill to be celebrating Speedweek 2008 after racing your #2 Slingshot and winning both the B and A main at Reading Fairgrounds!!! Matt was also able to pick up heat wins at both Selingsgrove and GVAT to add him to the field for feature events. Matt has made his mark and has shown he can race with the best of the Slingshot field. It was Matt’s first time ever racing a feature event on all three tracks!
Matt’s younger brother, Mike in his #747, took the checker flag in one of the heat races at Reading. And then again raced for the win in the Dash for Cash. Tuesday night at Reading was an amazing night for the Carman brothers as they took the win in three out of the four races which ran that night. Darryl Carman was methodical in how he prepared the cars for his sons. His passion and knowledge of racing that he shares with his son’s was evident this week as the results speak for themselves. Congratulations, guys!!! |

| Comments: | At the 2008 Atlantic City indoor event, Friday nights first slingshot heat was THE RACE of the weekend for the slingshots. You came out on top against the best of the hot shoes. You more than accomplished your goal for the weekend by WINNING the heat race and then finishing 6th in the SHOW on Saturday. You and Mike both qualified and placed in the main event. God will reward this team for following the rule book and keeping the cars legal when most other teams did not. Sadly,our passion for racing sometimes gets the best of us and after the final race, we became indignant by the actions of some irresponsible adults. Overall, it was a great start to the 2008 season. Congratulations!!! Love you! |
