I saw the Gazette piece on the internet some years back. I have a high and tight flattop so I kept this guy in mind for when I was in the area. Tan did a great job with the flattop and shaving the back and sides. He's definitely on my list of places to stop when I'm traveling to the area. All the best and glad we met.

I started going to Tan when he first started cutting hair in Bowie. Every time he moved,I followed. Now that he is in college Park, it's quite a trip from Gambrills,MD. He is worth it !!! I have long hair and a beard. The first time I walked into Tan’s he took one look at me and said “flat top”. He has been calling me flat top ever since. I told my daughter that Tan wants to cut my hair she said “Tell him he’s crazy.” I still have long hair but Tan is the only person I will let trim my beard. I have had a beard since 1975 and in all those years nobody has done anywhere close to the job Tan does. Thanks Tan.

Tan has been cutting my hair since 1988...I was one of his original customers & have stayed with him since. He also cut my father's hair & now cuts both of my son's hair. I see him at least once a month & look forward to every visit. He is a unique & very interesting individual. I have known him for over 1/2 my life. Tan is the best barber I've ever had. I first used Tan when I was in a hurry to get a haircut before a friends wedding. My regular barber was busy, so I had to get Tan to cut my hair. After getting my hair cut, I thought to myself, this is the best haircut I've had in a long time. I continued using him until he suddenly left the Whitehall barbershop. After asking around for a while, and not getting any information, finally one of the younger barbers told me where to find him. It turns out Tan cuts his hair too. Tan is a good guy and as long as he is around, I will be using him to cut my hair along with my sons hair. There is no sense of having any other barbers in his shop since people are always willing to wait for him no matter how many people are there.

Last June, I decided I wanted to change my haircut to a flat top. I went to a few different barbers in the Baltimore area, but was never completely pleased with the cut. I found out about Tan's by surfing the web. He's given me two great flat tops so far, and even though it's a 40 minute drive from Baltimore it's well worth the effort to get there. Baltimore men, you won't be disappointed! The flat top looks great and lasts a long time. Try Tan's!

I have been getting cut's since 1989, back in the days of crazy designs in the back of my head. I hope you still don't have that picture of me at age 12(lol). I met Tan just after his relocation three years ago, I moved from the West coast to Laurel. After I left Laurel, I moved to Virginia. I couldn't get a decent cut anywhere. For the last two years, I've faithfully driven from Manassas to Laurel, for every one of my haircuts. I've had my hair cut all over the country, Tan is the greatest barber anywhere! Anyone wondering if it's worth the time to see Tan; He's maticulous, precise and understanding. Qualities that will make me come back to him no matter the distance.
