Our family just adopted an American Eskimo from a co-worker. She had a toddler who was getting bigger than the dog and VERY rough. His name is Cody and he is the most wonderful dog (and one of the smartest) I've ever seen. He has AKC papers - though that was not a qualifier as we've owned many loving mutts! Hello All, There is concern of paperhanging with every registry in existance today. Crooks and dishonest people are falsifying pedigree's to get their dogs registered.. Registering mongrels as purebreds then breeding those dogs is not in the best interest of any breed of dog. "Paper hangers" have been exposed but little will UKC do unless there is more then one or two people notifying them of any specific dog or kennel that is paper hanging. Please we need your help to persuade UKC and ADBA to conduct a simple investigtion of a known paper hanger. PLEASE HELP and sign this petition to request DNA testing on a illegally registered dog. i have a three year old eskie who i absolutly adore, named Pollyanna. I rescued her from a shelter, no one wanted her b/c she barked excessivly. I've had her for over a year now and we've been having the time of our lives together. She sleeps right against my back at night and protects me from danger....(mainly my fish....) Any how, she is absolutly wonderful and we couldn't be happier. I'm thinking about getting another Eskie, so Polly has another friend in the house. | Comments: My boyfriend Eric had been talking about getting a dog for a couple of months. He went into a pet store nearby and there were a litter of mini eskies there. He came home that day and told about these cute little dogs he had seen. All that weekend all he could talk about were these dogs. I was resistent to the idea but finally agreed to go to lunch with him on Monday afternoon and go look at these dogs. Needless to say as soon as I laid eyes on these little fluff balls I was in love. There were two left in the litter, a male and female. I picked the female and we named her Zoe. We have had her for almost five months and she has definately changed my life. She is the sweetest, silliest, weirdest, most playful dog I have ever owned. | |

| Comments: We just found a stray about a month ago, we've advertised trying to find an owner, but to no avail. She is absolutely wonderful! We are very happy that she has become a part of our family. Everything seems to be going well except, we can't seem to find anything to feed her that she likes except for chunky canned food, which can become quite expensive, is there anything that you can recommend?? Also, she scratches alot and yet doesn't have fleas. A vet said that she had very dry skin, but since I wasn't the one who took her to the vet, I wasn't able to ask what I could do for that problem. Do you have any suggestions on that as well??

| Comments: i have had an eskie for 10 years wuoldnt trade her for anything she is so human like she has forgot she is a dog.just yesterday my boyfriend was out doing some running of errands with my eskie when he wrecked my car to keep from hitting one .he asked all neighbors who's animal and they said it was an unwanted stray.he brought it to me.it was very dirty and malnutrician.i cleaned it up and feed it i dont know how old it is but its smaller than mine and very entergetic.the eskie i have was a rescue dog also from the same area only i knew who she had belonged to and the owner had admitted to me that he beat the dog and also had sex with her.is it possible that these dogs are from the same litter even though the smaller one acts as a puppy.i'm not sure if i can keep this dog because my dog is now very jealous it has been the only baby for 10 years. | |
