But hey, some people thrive on that kind of thing. Darren, I wish you luck on the remainder of your miraculous journey. Some people have called me a wiseman. Others have deemed me a prophet. I never claimed to possess the ability to predict the future with alarming accuracy, but it is time that I admit the truth to myself. You will experience an amazing adventure while on your coast to coast cycling trip. At about the halfway point, you will be forced to take a break. College graduation is an important milestone, my friend, do not be ashamed to suspend finishing your trip to honor yourself. You deserve it. Some will call you a cheater for not cylcing straight through, but do not listen to them. They are bafoons. Upon the conclusion of your trip and after some quality family time, you will come home to engage in a "Port Guide" project that will prove to be fantastical. The chance to meet the perfect girl for you will come, please be prepared. You will know her when she takes your order. I am not entirely certain, but the name "Valerie Doeg" stands out........ that, along with the island of "Tahaa" will play a significant role in your development. Darren, brave the hard times and know that plenty of fortune is headed your way. Be patient and do not doubt your capabilities. I never have. You are a good man. And remember, nothing beats playing frisbee in the snow. We'll have to do that sometime....... |

Santana triplet (bicycle built for three) that I had ridden on this beautiful stretch of highway with my 2.5 year old daughter. Yes she pedals. We were on our way to the Northwest Tandem Rally (via RV) in Port Angeles Washington. Darren was kind enough to stop and talk about his adventures on probably June 27th or 28th. I have returned home from that trip and am following his progress. I must admit concern when a very long lapse of communication seemed to take place. |
