Long ago, around 1980 I spent the day with you and your son, on a day fishing boat out of Oceanside, ca. as I remember. I stood next to you and your son and half my time I was helping Chris with his gear, he was a really nice boy, I was 26 at the time. I really enjoyed you and Chris's company. At the end of the day we sat together in the galley on the way back to the harbor, My Dad,you,me and Chris, Chris fell asleep against my shoulder. Well, I got home and my wife made me dinner and I sat down to watch battlestar Galactica and guess what I saw, Yea you. I had no idea you where an actor. I just read you lost Chris in 2005 to pneumonia, I’m so sorry. I have two sons in collage now and love them very much. | Comments: | I just want to say how happy I am that I found this website, which has given me the opportunity to say that I have been a huge Richard Lynch fan since he played the King Lear-quoting bad guy in "Starsky & Hutch" many years ago. The first feature film I saw him in was "Scarecrow", and he was wonderful! He really turned me on with his sexy voice, that smile and those beautiful blue eyes. I sure would love to have an autographed picture of him someday (hint hint). If you read this, Richard - I want you to know that I've admired you and your work for many years, and please accept my belated condolences for the loss of your son. I lost my brother almost a year to the day later. He was the same age as your son, and he also died of pneumonia. It takes time, but our hearts will heal. Hugs and kisses to you!! |

This is Agustin Ignacio from Spain.I wanted let us all know that MIL MASCARAS:RESURRECTION will officially be hitting in the Estepona Film festival the next September! There has been a struggling with this film for getting it released in the festival and it will definitely be screened there. I was in touch with Jeffrey Uhlmann producer of the film and he is very happy knowing that about the movie. It would be very nice to have Richard Lynch in the event among many Spanish fans! I have been following Mr. Lynch's career since I first became aware of him on "Starsky and Hutch" many years ago. I simply thought (and still do) that he is one of the most interesting, charistmatic, and brilliant actors I have ever seen. I couldn't take my eyes off him and instantly had to learn whatever could about him, have been a rabid fan ever since...So, just wanted to sat a huge thanks for this splendid sight. Me and many others in the US, but also here in The Netherlands bolth appreciate and love your work as an actor. In all movies I have ever seen, I never got kind of scared. But when I watched puppet master III and Bad Dreams, I realised you can turn a movie into very exciting. my first meeting with you was on a Star Trek tape in the episode Gambit, but afterwards I searched for more available media. But in the Netherlands your movies and gueststarring roles are famous too, and I will always enjoy watching Starsky and hutch, Startrek, Murder she wrote, Scarecrow, The sword and the sorcerer, Invasion USA, Bad dreams, Puppet Master and Little Nikita. I have seen him in everything from Sword and the Sorcerer to Necronomicon. Like a fine wine,he and his acting get better with age. I never thought of him playing cantankerous mountain- man until I recently saw Miner's Massacre,or Curse of the 49er. He was chewing up the scenery as usual,which for me was great. He makes the great bad guy or strange cultist,but in real life he's nothing like these parts he plays. In fact he's just the opposite. |

Lynch: 3/10/70-10/10/2005: Newberg resident, Christopher Lucien Lynch, died Oct. 10, 2005, at Providence Newberg Hospital of pneumonia-related complications from a brain hemorrhage suffered in 2002. He was 35. He was born March 10, 1970 in New York City. He moved to Los Angeles in 1973 with his parents and attended Palisade High School, where he graduated in 1987. He attended the University of California - Los Angeles, San Diego Community College and Santa Monica Community College for several years. He was an avid sports photographer and an actor. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Newberg. He enjoyed rock climbing, diving, snowboarding and skateboarding, surfing, riding horses, deep-sea fishing, mountain climbing and whitewater rafting. Survivors include his father, actor Richard H. of Brooklyn, NY; mother and stepfather, Beatrix (Mattalia) and Matt Newman; brother, Peter Newman; sisters, Amanda and Angelique Newman; grandparents, Elyane and Albert Parson; step-grandfather Everett Newman and numerous aunts and uncles. A funeral mass was held Oct. 14 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Newberg. Committal was private. | Comments: | This is actually a very belated thank you to one of the most phenomenal actors I've had the pleasure of viewing on the silver screen, (but unfortunately not recognized by phenomenal standards as he should be). 1979 was the year, I was Lynched! 'Vampire' came on the boob tube (as we used to call it in those days), and I was in euphoria. Not only did Richard Lynch outdo the greats- Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, William Marshall, Tom Cruise, Frank Langella and Raul Julia, but he was, (in my opinion) the only actor that brought a subtle raw sexiness/intellect to the vampire of yore. I don't know if it was the blonde hair, or not, but whatever it was, he certainly put it out there. I studied drama and acting for a while so during this time, I was in awe when he made that movie. As a matter of fact, my whole circle of friends at the time were in awe. All we did for weeks on end was talk about Richard Lynch, Richard Lynch, Richard Lynch. I've had the pleasure of seeing most of his works, Invasion USA, Little Nikita, Sword and the Sorcerer, Scanner Cop, Showdown, Alligator 2, (Mutation), Maximum Force, The Barbarians, everyone's favorite, Delta Fox, et. al., and just recently, I lucked out and found an old movie with another of my favorites, Calvin Lockhart and Richard Lynch in 'The Baron.' It's a must see. From the early days until now, Richard has not lost that raw sex appeal or passion for his art that screams/jumps out at the viewer on the screen, no matter what character or age he plays. In our hearts, he will always be as phenomenal as an Al Pacino, Gregory Peck or Robert DeNiro. He's already won the Lifetime Achievement Award in my heart. I hope to see a lot more of him in future films. |

ago, a movie called "the last hero" (Derrick louw). This movie is very bad, but he is so terrific as ever. I would like see him again in a movie like "Necronomicon", his characterization of Jethro de Lapoer was terrific. Lynch on an unusual experimental film called "The Frigin Mafia Movie" in Northern California. The actual site is classified so I can't repeat it right now, but I fly some spectacular stunts in it during a shootout with him (I lose). Richard did a fantastic job, but then left town quick to do a film in China and then one in Italy. He is a fine actor who is working very hard. Dear Richard: It has been a long time since I last wrote to you. I have been very busy with school, and have been practicing my Russian on a daily basis. You do play a very good Russian in your films. Your Russian-speaking skills are absolutely astounding! It is now raining here in the Pacific Northwest. In fact, the rains started just yesterday after a long dry spell. We get heavy amounts of it up here, and it is sometimes annoying. But, that's Oregon for you! By the way, have you heard about that horrible submarine disaster in Russia a couple of months ago? My heart goes out to the loved ones of those sailors and officers who perished! feature film with Richard entitled ANKLE BRACELET. The film wrapped in February of 1999. A mystery drama shot in the Pocono Mountains. What an experience and honor to work with Richard. I thank him for his inspiration and direction and the friendship we developed. From what I understand, the film is now in the hands of a distribution company. When and where it will come out, I don't know. very proud of what you have done for him. I met Richard Lynch today at Dragon*Con 2000. It's a no smoking building so I went outside for a quick cigarette, and there was Richard. What a really nice guy he is. Richard maybe typecast as a bad guy in his acting roles - but it couldn't be further from the truth when you meet him in person. I was with my business partner Denita and the three of us talked for quite a while. He is a really down to earth person.
