Comments:Back in 1983 I bought this car for 200.00. Always intended to restore it, but never got around to it. I am looking for someone who has one that needs a parts car. It did run when I pulled into the shed. If you live in the area of Dry Ridge KY , this car is free . It is rusted, but not dented or been crashed. If you had to have some BSA stuff you didnt want that would be nice, otherwise contact me via email .

Comments:Hello:
I have a 59 TR-3A and have found a Tr 6 to purchase. Just roaming around on the net to see what info is out there. Restoring British cars is nothing more than a hobby to me. Fun one at that. Was hoping to find a Big Healey but settled for the Tr 6.

For now

Comments:Love the site! I'm at the 4-year point in my proverbial 2-year restoration, 90% done and just 1/3 left to go. I drove this car to my Senior Prom in 1981, with a little luck it'll be done before my first colonoscopy.

Cheers, Tom

Comments:I am not sure if this is where I need to post this, but here goes. My grandfather and I are going through a family members belongings that passed away. He owned a 1974 triumph. There is probably 10 to 20 thousand dollars worth of triumph parts and accessories. Everything from carbs to carpet, soft and hard tops, rearends, transmissions, and so many more that are brand new in the boxes. 4 and 5 of the the same kinds of parts. I was just trying to get the word out in case anybody would want to buy anything. We are trying to clean out all of thses parts to make more room. I live just outside of Little Rock, Arkansas. I don't check my email too often, so if anone is interested, call me @ (501) 772-9070. If I don't answer, leave a message, and I promise to get back to you. This would be a triumph lovers absolute dream.

Comments:I don't know the commission number as the plates have been removed from the car. I purchased this car on Ebay in 2001 and am just now starting to attempt to restore it to driveable condition. The seller had misrepresented the condition of the car in that the body is/was in terrible condition with rusted through floors, fenders, rocker panels, etc. These were filled with filler and made to look presentable in photos. Anyway enough about that. I am determined to get this thing up and running, but can't afford to do a full frame off restoration. I purchased new floor, rocker panels from Moss, but am unsure of how to go about replacing them. Any help would be much appreciated.

This gave me the space needed to insert pin, held with long needle nose pliers, as I pushed handle and escutcheon in.

Comments:I just assembled my airplane hanger mates TR6, which had been sitting around in parts in a barn for 10 years. In gratitude, or maybe punishment he gave me a second 69 TR-6 project car that he will never have time to get to. It's complete, with very little if any rust. I want to just get it running and drive it for a while, before really tearing into it for a full fledged restoration (hopefully my last auto restoration, as I have done many.) I needed another car (#6, 3rd convertible) about as much as I needed a hole in the head, but who could resist a free (and rust free) TR6. Well, my wife knows I'm hopeless, so the work begins.

Comments:So if I can prevail upon your expertise for a couple of minutes, I'd very much appreciate it.

I have a '73 TR6 and once I start it, unless I quickly move the key back a fraction of an inch, it makes a whiny/kind of a spinning noise-as though it doesn't get that it's been started.

Once I turn the key back a bit, it's just fine-I'd very much prefer to have some idea of what the issue is before I bring it to the mechanic. Could it be a sensor of some sort that lost it's sensitivity?

Thanks in advance for your time.
