Your song, "Play Some Music for Broken Hearts," was "our song" in 1959. It was on the jukebox at our favorite place, The Red Rooster. When the place closed, the owner sought out my husband (boyfriend in 1959), and gave him the 45 rpm record. We still have it, and some time ago talked to Mrs. Cornell, who gave us information on how to get your CD with the song on it. It is a treasure as is the 45, as you might imagine. We'd love to get the lyrics in writing. Can you please direct us to a source? I have tried the Internet, but they are not available. Thank you for so many wonderful memories and songs! | Comments: | Don,We have been listening to our CDs that I copied from 78s and 45s to tapes twenty years ago and then finally when CDs came out,I copied them to those. Took me weeks to do all the wonderful records we had from the 1940s and 1950s. There is no music written or sung today like it was back then,but we spend our time listening to all the wonderful songs of our time. Makes me happy,but also sad that those times are gone and the young people today do not know what what beautiful music is . Thank you for the joy you brought us through the years.

| Comments: | My dad thought Don Cornell & Jerry Vale were the best ever. We have some albums of Don's and I have transferred them to CD's so I can easily listen to them. His Italian album "Don Cornell Sings Love Songs" brings out that beautiful baritone voice and rivals the best of any Italian-American vocalist ever. We also have some of the Sammy Kaye albums that feature Don with the Kaydets. Of course, he was introduced as Ray Michaels then.

| Comments: | Am now 70 y/o and have ALWAYS loved Don's recordings. By the way, as a former entertainer/singer, performed at the Bistro Club, in New Orleans, for a total of six years. One of the owners, Lou Angelo, was a very close friend of Don's. He constantly raved, about how much of a wonderful and loyal friend, Don was to him. Unfortunately, Lou, as Don is, no longer with us. Bless both of them.
