What's the dream? We, the undersigned, are tired of searching through used bookstores and being forced to pay exorbitant prices for beat up books. We believe that the re-release of Angela Sommer-Bodenburg's "Little Vampire" books in the US and the UK is long overdue! We are asking for a publisher from each country to end our long, often fruitless searches, by simply releasing new editions of each of the 16 books, listed below. (Please note that in the US only the first five were ever published and that the word "Little" was omitted from the titles and the first one was called "My Friend, the Vampire".)

It was in German which my teacher allowed me to borrow. I agree that the books should be republished. Wonderful books like this are often over looked in the USA. Everytime I ask a bookseller if they have anything by Angela Sommer-Bodenburg they simply give me a blank look. When I explain what type of books she writes they offer me a Harry Potter book. When this happens I call them an idiot and walk out the door. I coudn't agree more with you about how they should reprint the books and this time all of them. The story really captured the spirit of childhood fantasy beautifully, and for a moment in time, I felt young again and not the balding, middle-aged, tree stump that I am today. It's nice to see something wholesome for a change. |

| Comments: | Little Vampire was the first book i have read and is the one that awoke reading need in me. By now, after 10 years, i have read everyone i have al least 10 times. At my 21 years old, i'm still looking for new episodes.
Here in Spain there are 15 episodes, but the newest one was published al least 6 yeas ago. I still need more adventures of Anton, Anna and Rüdiger. KSS for all Little Vampire readers!!! |

| Comments: | i read the book when i was about 8 or 9 and i was so in love with it.
i read it so many times that the book was torn apart and my mom eventually threw it away. now i'm 18 and frankly, there hasn't been a day when i didn't think about this book.(i'm not exaggerating at all) i was desperate to find the books but unfortunately, i couldn't find it anywhere. god, i really hope that they'd re-publish the books in english since it seems impossible to have the books re-published here in korea.-_-++ i went to amazon searching for it but they only had a few at unbelievable prices and i'm going absolutely insane!!! i love the books so much that i break down in tears to even think about it. i get so emotional.(i know it sounds kind of stupid, but it's true) anyway, i really hope that the books will be published one more time. it's such a shame that great books like the little vampire can't be read by the kids anymore. maybe i should try learning german in order to read the books. by the way, i had no idea that the little vampire was still being published in germany. what a surprise!! it's so great to know that it hasn't ended yet. i really should start learning german. -_-; |
