Just got through listening to your latest creation, the Tasmanaian Blackwood masterpiece. Absolutely stunning intonation with incredible clarity and full rich basses. Of course, I played Una Limosna, as no one plays it quite like you. Simply love your interpretation and the seamless tremelo accompanied by the wonderful melody of the knock at the door. For example, when I was learning oc Watson's style of American folk music I purchased a Gallagher DW on which to practice. Wantiung to learn Marcel Dadi required an Adamas and learning Chet Atkins got me to buy a Gretsch 6120. I love all these guitars and now I'm very eager to learn some contemporary music especially Antonio Lauro's compositions. For the Lauro I will need a nice classical guitar and one of your models is what I have my heart set on. In a fewe months I will decide which one.

I had decided to throw in the towel about 3 years ago, at the age of 30, because I wasn't where I thought I needed to be with my playing. With two children to support, I gave up my studies (ran out of money) and went back to work full-time (only two terms away from a degree in classical guitar performance). After attenting a concert and auditing a master class last weekend, I was filled with bitter dissapointment, feeling that I had squandered something precious and now its too late. Thanks for the reminder that with music it's never "too late", and only finding 2 hours a day to practice really is ok. I will most likely never finish that degree, nor be famous, nor make any money. But that's OK! Now I play, because I love it, and because it's too painful not to. |
